A woman in Vlad Filat’s case internationally wanted

Magistrates of the Court of Buiucani sector have issued an arrest warrant for a period of 30 days on the name of a woman in the case of Vlad Filat, accused of corruption.  She is internationally wanted as she evaded the criminal prosecution by leaving the country.

The woman is prosecuted for false testimony and money laundering. After being interviewed by officers of CNA, she refused to be investigated under medical reasons. She left the country though she had interdiction to do it.

Vlad Filat, former PM of the Republic of Moldova was detained for 30 days on charges of corruption. Prosecutors announced that Vlad Filat was directly involved in the withdrawal of money from the banking system. General Prosecutor Corneliu Gurin said that the officials had conclusive evidence that would prove the guilt of the leader of PLDM. The politician was taken to the Penitentiary 13 after the Court of Appeal upheld the decision by which the former prime minister was arrested.
