All five judges accused in the so-called "magistrates' case", Svetlana Tizu, Victoria Hadîrca, Ludmila Ouș, Galina Moscalciuc and Liubovi Brînza were acquitted of passive corruption, due to the fact that the existence of the crime was not established.
Also, the judges received acquittals on the charge of pronouncing an illegal decision, on the grounds that the deed does not meet the elements of the crime.
The only one who received a sentence in the Magistrates' Case is Vitalii Furtuna, the assistant of Judge Liubovi Brînza. He was found guilty of trafficking in influence and was sentenced to three years in prison, with execution in a semi-closed prison. However, the sentence was conditionally suspended for a probation period of three years.
