On December 29, the Supreme Court of Justice rejected the appeal of Alexandr Stoianoglo's lawyer regarding the annulment of the decision of the members of the Superior Council of the Prosecutor's Office regarding the examination of the complaint of PAS deputy Lilian Carp in which he accused the prosecutor general of passive corruption and abuse of office. 

Alexandr Stoianoglo believes that his rights have been violated by the very effects of the decision of the Superior Council of Prosecutors of October 5, 2021. Alexandr Stoianoglo appealed to the European Court of Human Rights with a complaint about the application of a preventive measure in the form of arrest against him.

PAS MP Lilian Carp accused Prosecutor General Alexandr Stoianoglo of passive corruption and abuse of office. In early October, the parliamentarian submitted a complaint to the Superior Council of Prosecutors, requesting that Alexandr Stoianoglo's actions be examined in 2011, when, as deputy and chairman of a parliamentary committee, he made an amendment to the law that allowed. after some economic business to withdraw the money from the blocked accounts.

The case is said to be related to the money laundering scheme through the Russian Laudromat.
