Pro-European candidate in presidential elections Maia Sandu launched Thursday, October 27 a new message to citizens. In a video posted on Facebook, leader of PAS urges voters to support her, regardless of political options, spoken language, preferences for West or East.

„Moldova needs much unity. Regardless of you political preferences, your language, your option West or East, Romania or Russia, I will give all my power for each of you to feel safe at home. Because each citizen matters. The corrupt politicians have tried, over time, to divide us. You are the true heroes. I urge you to go to vote and vote “for”, not “against”. Hatred divides us. Together, we will win”, writes the message of Maia Sandu.

The candidate made this statement after she was criticized for  her reaction to an announcement made yesterday by Marian Lupu about his withdrawal from the presidential race in favor of Maia Sandu. "Plahotniuc plays as he knows, dirty tricks, but I do not need his support. I respect the law and the law clearly says that Plahotniuc and thieves like him must be imprisoned. Abuse of power, misinforming people using his media, Plahotniuc should stay behind bars. His objective is not my victory, but consolidation of his power. For this, he needs a president out of sight out of mind like Igor Dodon. While he pretends   to back me, he hopes to scare my electorate, "said Maia Sandu, Wednesday, October 26, during a briefing.
