Maia Sandu is the clear leader when it comes to public trust. The head of state is followed in the Top 3 by her former presidential rival, Alexandr Stoianoglo. The former Prosecutor General has overtaken the leader of the Socialists, Igor Dodon, who now ranks third. These conclusions come from a survey conducted by Magenta Consulting at the request of the Center for Public Opinion Research.
Citizens of the Republic of Moldova have the highest level of trust in President Maia Sandu, with 40 percent of respondents expressing support for her. Former Prosecutor General Alexandr Stoianoglo ranks second, with a total of 22 percent.
He is followed by former President and current leader of the PSRM (Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova), Igor Dodon, who received 16 percent of the vote from those who responded to the question regarding trust in politicians.
Next in the ranking are Prime Minister Dorin Recean (11%), Igor Grosu (10%), Ion Ceban (9%), Irina Vlah (7%), and Ilan Șor (5%).

The survey was conducted by Magenta Consulting at the request of the Center for Insights in Survey Research. The data was collected between May 3–18, 2025, through face-to-face interviews conducted at the respondents’ homes.
