Ilan Shor, a fugitive from justice in Israel, was ordered by the court to pay President Maia Sandu 50,000 lei as compensation for moral damage and to apologize on Facebook for spreading defamatory information that does not correspond to reality. The decision of the Chisinau Court of Appeal entered into force on Wednesday from the moment the reasoned decision was published. Ilan Shor ridiculed the decision of the court.
At the same time, the scandalous businessman, sentenced to 7 years and 6 months in a bank fraud case, had to refute on his Facebook page the information published in 2018 that he offered Maia Sand money in an envelope.
Party leader Shor reacted quickly, saying he would not comply with the court's decision.
