The three right-wing parties that have committed to bring forward a single candidate for the presidential elections of 30 October, need the results of the second survey of IRI that will be released on October 12. If the survey shows identical results for Maia Sandu and Andrei Nastase, the parties will seek other criteria for selecting a mutual candidate.

Statements were made by Maia Sandu in the press club "Transparent Presidential Elections", held by the Center for Investigative Journalism.  Candidate of the Party Action and Solidarity said that the three parties had committed to come up with a joint candidate, they do not discuss about the distribution of some functions after the presidential elections.

"Understanding that we have that this candidate, this should not accept a compromised candidate for the seat of PM" , said Maia Sandu.

Politician revealed that the three parties had already begun discussions about preparation for the parliamentary elections. "We are talking about participation in elections as a united team.  Though, we are different, we must work together", said Maia Sandu.

As for the objectives set if she is elected head of state, the leader of PAS said that she wanted to remove the current corrupt system of government.

"An important element of this system is the general prosecutor. Future president may refuse to appoint a candidate with integrity problems for the seat of general prosecutor.  I will not accept such a candidate in any way. Also, I will not accept the appointment or promotion of a judge facing integrity problems ", said Maia Sandu. She called on journalists not to diminish the role of president.
