Belgian businessman Alexandru Ciubuc, born in the Republic of Moldova, is the new general director of SA Moldtelecom. A decision in this regard was taken on October 7 by the members of the competition committee. Ciubuc also held the interim position.

"As the result of the Competition for filling the vacant position of general director of S.A. Moldtelecom", on October 7, 2022, the Competition Commission designated as the winner of the Competition the candidacy of Mr. CIUBUC ALEXANDRU", the Moldtelecom press release states.

The board of the joint-stock company with the majority state capital, Moldtelecom, announced on August 16 a competition for the position of general director of the company. Among the candidates was Alexandru Ciubuc, originally from the Republic of Moldova, who held the interim position.

He lived for 12 years in Belgium, where he developed a successful business. Ciubuc is the co-founder of the Enabld company, which offers expertise in sales, marketing and strategic partnerships in communications. He is the co-founder of DAS Solutions, a company specializing in the development of reliable and high-performance software solutions for the telecommunications industry.
