CEC obliged 18 political parties to present financial reports

Central Election Commission (CEC) obliged 18 parties to present by September 15 financial reports for the first semester of 2016. Also, the Commission might sanction these parties. This decision was taken in the meeting held on Thursday, August 18 after members of CEC analysed the reports presented by political parties.

The parties are: Agrarian Party of Moldova, Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova, Party of Law and Justice, Christian-Democratic People's Party, Professionals' Movement Speranta-Nadejda, New National Moldovan Party, Romanian National Party, Republican Party of Moldova, European Party, Political Party “Democratic People's Party of Moldova”, Party of Spiritual Development United Moldova, European Action Movement, Political Party “For nation and country”, Social Political Movement of the Roma, Party “Patriots of Moldova”, Political Party "Progressive Society Party", Political Party  “DREAPTA” and Political Party “Revival”.

CEC announced that will ask the State Tax Service to check the origin of the donations that exceed the amount of 75 thousand lei, transferred to the political parties.

Also, the Commission set the quantum of the monthly subsidies allocated to political parties. “Thus, the quantum of the monthly subsidies for each valid expressed vote offered to the political parties and to electoral bloc at the parliamentary elections from November, 30, 2014 is of about 1,11 lei, and the quantum of the monthly subsidies for each valid expressed vote offered to the political parties and to electoral bloc at the parliamentary elections from June 14 is of about 0,47 lei. Subsidies from state budget will be transferred each month starting with August 2016. Almost 40 million lei were allocated from the state budget in this purpose.

CEC members approved the Regulations on the peculiarities of nomination and registration of candidates for presidential elections in the Republic of Moldova, funding activity of the initiative group and they adjusted several changes to the regulatory framework that regulates the organization and development of the presidential elections dated October 30.
