The Republic of Moldova raised the level of alert on the Ukraine border after the neighboring country was hit by more than 100 Russian missiles on Tuesday. Two missiles exploded on the territory of Poland, killing two people. The Ministry of the Interior announced that the Republic of Moldova is  exposed to the danger of Russian missile strikes launched over Ukraine. Especially after a Russian missile, shot down by the Ukrainian military forces, exploded on the territory of Moldova, and previously Russian missiles flew over the airspace of the Republic of Moldova.

"The Republic of Moldova, just like the countries that have a border with the war, is exposed to the danger of missile strikes, which can hit localities near the border with Ukraine at any time. Poland was affected, and two people lost their lives, when two rockets exploded on the edge of a town on the border", according to a press release from the Ministry of the Interior, issued on Wednesday.

The MAI mentions the case of Naslavcea, a locality in the north of Moldova, where several houses were damaged on October 31, after a Russian rocket exploded.

"Relentless rocket attacks have caused terror throughout Ukraine. Many people lost their lives, many were left in the dark and cold due to the destruction of Ukraine's energy system by the Russians. In the same way, the citizens of the Republic of Moldova had extensive power outages, as a result of the Russian attacks and the overloading of the electrical networks. MAI sends a message of unity and solidarity with Poland and Ukraine. United we are stronger",  press release states.
