A group of saboteurs from Serbia was supposed to arrive in the Republic of Moldova this week as supporters of the Partizan Belgrade team, which has a football match scheduled for Thursday with the Şeriff Tiraspol team at the Zimbru Stadium in Chisinau. The announcement was made by Andrian Cheptonar, deputy from the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) during a show on Jurnal TV. The Moldovan Football Federation (FMF) announced on Tuesday that the match will take place behind closed doors, on the recommendation of the Intelligence and Security Service (SIS).

"This week a football match must take place in Chisinau, between a team from Serbia and one from the Republic of Moldova. Initially, it was planned that the entire gallery of the Serbian team would come to our country. Thanks to the efforts made by the Intelligence and Security Service (SIS), long before the information provided by Zelenski appeared, the Serbian team will play with empty stands, because saboteurs were planned to come to this gallery," Andrian Cheptonar said.

"The Moldovan Football Federation was informed by the Intelligence and Security Service that the authorities decided to play the match behind closed doors. Accordingly, the Federation will comply with the decision of the authorities and the match will be played behind closed doors. I would like to take this opportunity to inform all supporters that the Federation apologizes for any inconvenience caused and of course all supporters will be able to get their money back for tickets purchased either through the website or directly from our store where they bought them procured", said Sandu Grecu, FMF spokesperson.

At the same time, 12 citizens of Serbia, who claimed to be supporters of the Partizan Belgrade team, had to make their way back from Chisinau International Airport. The President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, stated in a press conference on Monday that the Intelligence and Security Service has information about the plans to involve the citizens of Russia, Belarus, Serbia and Montenegro in a coup in Chisinau, set up by Kremlin
