The Intelligence and Security Service (SIS) confirms the statements made on Thursday by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. Being in Brussels, Zelenski announced that the secret services of Ukraine sent information to colleagues from the Republic of Moldova about the strategy of the Russian Federation to overthrow the constitutional order in the Republic of Moldova.

"SIS confirms receipt of the respective information from our Ukrainian partners. At the same time, we note that the SIS carries out operative measures to elucidate attempts to destabilize the situation in the republic and cooperates closely with partner intelligence services. In this context, the SIS confirms that both from the information presented by our Ukrainian partners and following the operative activity of the Service, subversive activities were identified to undermine the state of the Republic of Moldova, destabilize and violate public order", it is stated in the SIS note.

At the same time, SIS emphasizes that it cannot provide more details, "because there is a risk of jeopardizing the various ongoing operational activities".

The Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, made a crucial declaration during his intervention at the Council of Europe regarding a matter of significant importance to the Republic of Moldova. President Zelensky presented a set of confidential documents to President Maia Sandu of the Republic of Moldova, shedding light on the Russian Federation's plan to gain political control over the country.

"When we received this document and understood where it came from, we immediately warned Moldova about these threats. I'm sure you would have done the same," Zelenskiy explained.
