Team members of the Center for Investigative Journalism joined the ambassadors of EU member states accredited to Chisinau and show red card to corruption. One week ago, 15 diplomats called on citizens to do the same. One by one, representatives of several NGOs, Embassies and MPs joined the campaign.
Photos of diplomats who hold red cards saying "Red for corruption” were posted on the official page of Facebook of the Delegation of the EU in Moldova. “Fair play counts in football and in society. Join the EU ambassadors and show the red card to corruption!", writes the posting published on Facebook. The message was sent in the context of the currently ongoing European Football Championship, a sport when the red card means the removal of a player from the game.
