The examination of the file initiated in the name of Ghenadie Nicorici, criminally investigated for excess of power or exceeding the duties of the office in the case of rigged tenders for kindergartens, was delayed by two months. Although the case was put on the table in February 2019, for three years the process did not pass the first instance. The Center for  Investigative Journalism uncovered the fact that the companies owned by Nicorici, Crinic Grup SRL, and Cordacom SRL, delivered adulterated food or products of suspicious quality to kindergartens in the capital for several years.

Only three of 37 scheduled since 2019 meetings took place, the others being postponed or interrupted. The last court hearing, planned for December 2, had the same fate, so Ghenadie Nicorici is expected in court already in the new year, on February 28, when the case will be re-examined.

In 2017, four civil servants and five people appeared before the magistrates of the Buiucani Court in the case of rigged tenders.

The Center for Investigative Journalism investigated how these tenders were organized and which institutions signed the biggest part of purchase contracts with the suspected companies. Also, the Anticoruptie.md portal later reported that despite the criminal case, some of the companies suspected of rigging tenders continued to win public contracts for the delivery of food products to kindergartens in the republic.
